Improve your English communication and presentation skills
How do I improve my English communication? this is the main question that everyone has, at least I had earlier.
But now I have improved a lot. Now I can speak English fluently without any doubts.
So I am Syamraj M S, this is my story of how I improved and excelled in English communication skills.
How did I improve my English communication skills?
My English communication was mediocre when I was in the 8th standard of my school life.
One day, our class teacher appointed me to speak at the school assembly the next week. That is not the thing that terrified me.
My native language is Malayalam and I was not very incredible in English. The teacher appointed me to read an English newspaper.
I can read English, But I want to make it more attractive and incredible way and I want to show off.
So from that day, I started to learn how to speak English like a native speaker. I used the help of YouTube to learn how to speak better.
Really in the assembly, I had glowed like a star. The principal, teachers and students appreciate me because of my way of communication and presentation.
That was the first time I was inspired to learn English communication as a professional speaker.
So in this audio blog and in the video I have shared how I have improved my communication and presentation skills.
Tips to improve your communication skills
Now I will share with you what are the tips or methods which you can apply in your day-to-day life to improve your communication.
Read a lot
In my journey, I read a lot of books, blogs and other resources. reading helped me a lot. Read louder, that is more effective as compared to reading in mind.
Books like Rich Dad Poor Dad, Power of Your Subconscious Mind, Sapiens etc played a big role in my life.
From my experience, I am sure, that if you read so much it will reflect on your English communication skills.
Watch TedX talks and other videos
YouTube is another platform which includes a lot of resources that help you to excel in English communication as well as presentation skills.
In my case, I love to watch the cartoon called “Ben10” I watch it regularly and I mimic the way of speaking of each character in the cartoon.
Also, I am a great fan of channels like Discovery, Animal Planet, National Geography etc… The way of communication in the channel inspired me. I used to mimic what the anchor saying.
Also, try to use these methods to improve your English communication skills.
Practice, practice and practice
I always say “Practice is the key to success”. The English communication that I achieved by consistent practice.
You also want to practice to be better in English communication. practice to speak a loud.
If you are too shy to speak loud then you can practice speaking in a room in front of a mirror.
Communication through Clubhouse
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to use Clubhouse to improve my communication because it was not introduced in that time span.
But now you can use it. What you want to do is join any clubhouse room and start communicating with others in the room.
